However, the team at Derby’s leading boutique hotel are on a mission to prove that a royal title isn’t necessary for enjoying the VIP treatment.

The hotel has its home on St Mary’s Gate in The Cathedral Quarter, winner of the 2016 Great British High Street City Location Award, a hub to shopaholics and drink and dinners fans alike. The Grade II listed building hosts a wealth of original features and rich history, but the service and atmosphere is slick, sincere and bang up to date; there’s no standing on ceremony here.
